I have just about 10,000 screenshots on my phone. I know, I know, that is probably kind of excessive. Some of them are recipes I want to remember, some of them are silly messages from my friends, but most of them are pieces of art or writing that I come across that reverberate in my heart when I see them.

There is a magic phenomenon on the internet of people sharing things that they otherwise might not, and that is usually the stuff that makes its home inside my chest. A person might post something that they wrote or drew quickly, or that they feel is too niche or weird, but it might resonate with someone else. I think that is very very good.

I did not write anything this week (surprise) because work has been wild (surprise) and I am exhausted (surprise) but I wanted to make an offering to the weird art gods of the internet and share some things I have created lately and not really shared. Maybe they will end up in your screenshots folder! Maybe you will never look at them again! But I think they will end up wherever they need to, even if that’s just within a fleeting moment on the internet.
